Colleen & Colin’s Stratton Mountain Wedding :: New England Wedding Photographer

Before anything… aside from all else… the newest Temples (Colleen & Colin) have one of the nearest and dearest spots in our hearts. They were the very first couple to ever book us for a wedding!!!

The conversation when something like this:

Rewind back to early 2011…….

Colleen: I was wondering if you would photograph our wedding?

Alissa: Well, I haven’t done a wedding yet but I will be second shooting and gaining experience. I’ll have experience by then I mean. I think. Umm, sure????

Colleen: I know you will do an amazing job — this is going to be so much fun!!!

Seriously!??!?!?! A leap of faith couldn’t have been more of a blessing… and Bill and I will ALWAYS respect and thank you guys for that. xoxox

And then sometimes you just know….

Looking at Colleen and Colin – physically – they compliment each other picture perfectly… tall, gorgeous, stylish and beautiful! They completely rocked their engagement shoot with us at Merrimack College last year and honestly, constantly took our breath away the day of their wedding. Stunning isn’t even the word to describe Colleen on her wedding day, and Colin was as handsome as ever, in all his groom glory.

What I am getting at with the “sometimes you just know” theme…. is that we knew these two lovebirds were going to be as dashing as the next on their big day… but what we were so blessed to have found out through their wedding planning process is that these are two of the nicest, meant to be together people; with the two kindest families we have ever met. After spending time with “Col & Col” through their engagement shoot, we felt the admiration that was clearly there for each other. And then their gorgeous fall wedding weekend came and they were clearly beaming for each other. Not to mention, to say we were welcomed with open arms at Stratton Mountain Resort would be an understatement! These families know how to roll out the red carpet, let loose, and parrtayy! We enjoyed a fantastic welcome party on Friday night in one of the breathtaking private cabins; and then blue skies and fluffy white clouds brought on the big day! What was so incredible was how much Colleen & Colin’s personalities shone through in Stratton. We instantly felt the stresses of the “real world” leave our shoulders as we arrived at the resort, and couldn’t resist but join in on the exciting atmosphere that Colleen & Colin created with their impeccable attention to detail for their guests.

We had an absolute blast hanging out with the bridal party while getting ready, and you could feel the excitement brewing as we all walked a few steps to the little stone Chapel of the Snows (be cuter with this chapel’s name!) Father James Wenzel, our priest at Merrimack, gave a beautiful homily to Colleen & Colin. And finally, after a few tears, many smiles, and some great laughter, the newest Mr. & Mrs. Temple were official! The rest of the day continued without a hitch and these party animals danced the night away into the wee hours as our good friends of Next Level Entertainment Boston absolutely ROCKED the house.

It was a completely amazing experience getting to know you guys in a different light as you went through one of the biggest milestones of your lives, and we are so happy we were able to be a part of it. Cheers to many more memorable milestones, and thank you again for having faith in us wayyy back when. xo

Sarah & Lance’s Rustic Barn Wedding :: The Barns at Wesleyan Hills :: New England Wedding Photographer :: CT Wedding Photographer

Sarah and Lance are the type of people you instantly feel comfortable around. They have the most easy-going, joyful nature; and together they make an incredible couple. Bill and I have spent some great afternoons hanging out with them, sharing stories, grabbing a beer, and just enjoying each others’ company. Their wedding day was no different than any other day with them – they laughed (a lot), hung out, enjoyed the company of everyone around them, and couldn’t be happier that this big day was here! It is a beautiful thing when a bride and groom’s love just pours over into their families and wedding guest. Every.single.person. at this wedding knew and believed in the true love that Sarah & Lance share.

It was such a gorgeous August day at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills, and the attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Sarah and Lance put so much time and thought into many little aspects of their day, and truly made everything a representation of them; and their beautiful life together. Lance even hand made the awesome wine bottle table number holders you see in the detail shots below!

Sarah and Lance are the exact representation of what love is :: adoration, laughter and each others’ perfect match. They clearly make each others’ lives complete. We couldn’t have been more blessed to be part of their day!!

Congratulations again! xo
